Dave McMenamin
Class of 2001 – Journalism
Dave McMenamin’s career in sports journalism was launched at Radnor where he hosted a sports talk show for RAD TV, wrote for The Radnorite, and was a member of the boys’ varsity basketball team. He honed his skills at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He began his professional writing work with NBA.com. His career took him to ESPN in 2009 where he was assigned to the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant. In 2014, ESPN moved him to Cleveland to cover LeBron James and the Cavaliers, and later, back to L.A. to cover James and the Lakers. Currently a national reporter for ESPN, he is an award-winning writer and co-author of Return of the King: LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Greatest Comeback in NBA History. McMenamin has risen to the top of professional sports journalism across all platforms.
