1st Annual Radnor Basketball Alumni Night

The Radnor Boys’ Basketball Booster Club hosted the 1st Annual Radnor Basketball Alumni Night on Tuesday, January 10.  Over 40 Radnor alumni attended representing six decades of Radnor basketball history.

Receiving special acknowledgment was Radnor and Villanova great, Reggie Robinson (’74) who will be inducted into the Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame in the fall. Mr. Robinson will join Radnor basketball luminaries John Simpson (’61), who was in attendance on Tuesday and starred on the Radnor team that went to the PIAA State Final game in 1960; legendary coach Ellis Dwyer; and MVP of the first ACC Tournament, Duke power forward, Doug Kistler (’56).  Also receiving special recognition was Glenn Washington (’06), Radnor’s all-time leading scorer with 1,656 points. Radnor’s decisive victory over neighboring Conestoga, 57-31, capped off a memorable evening.
